Kauai Home Memories | Poipu Beach | Kauai | Hawaii /  by Ethan Tweedie

A family from Southern California reached out to me this summer to inquire about getting their long-time vacation home on Poipu Beach, Kauai photographed, my client's father is getting older and taking care of their home was getting more and more difficult especially in light of COVID. They hired me to take pictures over two days to capture the emotion and essence of the property so that they would always have memories of this special place in their hearts. Here are just a few highlights from our photoshoot.

I am a Big Island (Kailua-Kona, Waimea) photographer who specializes in architecture and interiors.  I have been entrusted by multi-billion-dollar hotel and resort brands, such as Halekulani, Rosewood Hotels and Resorts and Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts, industry-leading interior designers and architects and the top luxury real estate agents in Hawaii, because of my keen eye for what is appreciated by high-end consumers and markets.

Hale Kahakai, Kukui’ula on the South Shore of Kauai - Pu’uwai Design + Build /  by Ethan Tweedie

This luxury home built and designed by Pu`uwai, Koloa’s Premier Design/Build Company in the Kukui’ula community on Kauai’s South shore takes a modern approach to tropical design.  Each bedroom opens up to the exterior lanai areas and both master suite bathrooms open to private courtyards and outdoor showers.  The infinity edge pool has a swim-up bar, aqua lounge area and seamless spa. 

Pu`uwai Design + Build hired us to photograph this gorgeous home to market their company, market as a luxury vacation rental, and list for sale.  We spent close to 3 days photographing this amazing home and it felt like photographing a piece of art, truly an amazing property Pu`uwai created. 

 I am grateful to Pu`uwai giving us close to three days to shoot at the house, the weather on Kauai in the winter can get tricky sometimes and on our last half day it rained almost non stop!  Lastly I want to thank Malia and Justin of Pu`uwai for letting us stay at the property, it saved a lot of time packing and unpacking all of our gear each day!  It truly was an amazing property to photograph, Mahalo!
