1. Initial contact with Ethan lets get to know each other and gather information the goals of your project. Determine scope of the project, usage, location etc., Determine if there are other interested parties involved who would like images as well because cost sharing is a great way to lower the costs for everyone who wants images. Figure out when the photoshoot needs to happen. Provide a shot list if you have one.

2. Once I gather all the information I need I will provide an estimate to you as soon as possible. The estimate will be itemized in the following categories. Creative fee (This component reflects the time and skill it takes to complete the project, including preproduction tasks: Client meetings, advance site visits, and other site-specific preparation). Licensing and any local and state taxes.

3. Once the estimate is accepted I will send out two things. 1. An invoice for 50% of the total as a retainer. 2. A contract to be signed. This is all done via email so its super simple and fast.

4. Once the retainer is received the project will get scheduled and an architectural photography checklist will be sent out for site preparations and to jog your memory on things that could be done prior to the day we shoot. We can discuss styling items etc prior to the photoshoot. I strongly suggest having a few tasteful arrangements of fresh flowers being available on the day of the shoot, having one or two arrangements that we can move around the home can add to the feel of the final images.  Also, having an assortment of colorful fruit can also add to the ambiance of the images.  We can collaborate on what is appropriate/desired for the project.

5. On the day of the shoot I strive for simple elegance. No gimmicks, tricks or the latest toys.  It’s just me, my camera and some lighting.  There is no substitute for just spending time shooting the property... understanding the space, knowing the right time of day with the right light at the right angle to capture the images . To me, it’s all about patience.  I'll spend the whole day curating light—12 hours or more—and stay into the evening in order to capture those fleeting after-sunset moments.  It is my passion to use my creative flow in crafting each image as we collaborate to achieve your vision. That’s when the magic happens!

6. Editing is included with my pricing. Each project varies in scope etc., but in general we can deliver images in 5 to 10 business days, often sooner. I do not sub- contract my editing to India or China as each project is completed by me here locally at the highest standards. Projects will be delivered electronically with high resolution images and any other sizing you may need.

7. Lastly, photography is my passion and what could be better than having a great time creating great images for my clients. I look forward to working with you!
